OK, so it took me a while to get this going. Ideally, I'd like to post monthly updates, but in reality it'll probably be only a couple times a year. Guess we'll just see how it goes.
Notable events in January 07- I got used to sleeping in my own bed in my own room. Yea! I'm a big boy now! I love to play in my own room where all my books and toys are and I can make as much noise and mess as I want and nothing is a no-no! I had my first dental check-up which really wasn't much fun, but Dr. Prugh said I had no cavities and no tartar built up either. Dr. Prugh recommended I have my molars sealed since brushing my teeth can be a challenge. I will have to have this done in an outpatient hospital since I have to be anesthetized. I went through a growth spurt where my appetite almost doubled for a few weeks, I suppose I'll be growing out of my clothes in the next couple of months. My collarbone (broken Dec. 15th) is healing nicely and should be very strong soon.
February - I say "Hi, Dad!" every morning with little or no prompting. I had my molars sealed and had no problems with the anesthesia. I love to tease and shake my head "no" to everything I am asked. The Spring weather is beginning to bother me - I don't like it when the barometer yo-yos up and down, especially down! I love to stand at my bedroom window and wish I could go outside and listen to the birds. I love to do therapy at home and ask for it often (even though we do some every day).
March - The weather is beginning to warm up enough for me to go outside and play. I love to be outside!! I listen to the birds and watch them fly in the sky. I learned some new signs (like "butterfly" and "chocolate") and some new words (like "zebra") and I get really mad when it snows and I have to stay inside!! I also decided I am too big for a high chair now, I want to sit at the table in a chair just like everyone else (a booster seat is OK).
April - I have enjoyed being outside so much that I now have a tan line where my glasses go across my temples! I love to draw on the sidewalk with my chalk. My Special Mom and Nana came to visit me and brought me Easter baskets full of lots of candy and cute toys. At Parent-Teacher Conferences it was decided that I am doing so well I need to transfer into a regular classroom next year. I will be in the Seahorse room. My friend Emma is transferring too, and there will be an aide just to help us with the harder things in our new classroom. I figured out how to get off the couch all by myself! Mostly I scoot off on my tummy, but sometimes I scoot off feet first.
